Sergey A. Kogoghin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ
Biography
Sergey A. Kogoghin was born on November 16, 1957 in Bolshie Kliuchi village, Zelenodolsk Region, the Republic of Tatarstan (RT).
In 1976 he started to work as a milling machine operator at Kazan Engine Plant.
1977 – graduated from Kazan Aircraft Technical School.
1982 – graduated from Physics Department of Kazan State University (radio physics and electronics).
1982–85 – an engineer at “Era” enterprise.
1988 – finished Bank School.
1985–90 – Senior Engineer, Head of Office, Deputy Master Mechanic, Trade Committee Chairman of Zelenodolsk Engineering Plant.
1990–94 – Director of Zelenodolsk Engineering Plant.
1994–99 – Head of Administration of Zelenodolsk Region.
From June 30, 1999 – a member of KAMAZ Board of Directors
1999–2002 – Deputy Prime-Minister, the RT Minister of Economy and Industry.
From April 26, 2002 – Director General of OJSC KAMAZ
From March 14, 2004 – State Council Deputy of the RT.
From January 2006 – Chairman of Board of Non-profit Partnership "Association of Russian Automakers" (OAR)
Academic degree: candidate of economic science.
Public activities: Sergey A. Kogoghin initiated renaissance of local historical monuments: Raifsky Monastery, ancient island-town Sviyazhsk.
