Russia’s State Duma Deputy Speaker Visits KAMAZ
Oleg Morozov, Deputy Speaker of Russia’s State Duma, has arrived at KAMAZ today.
Oleg Morozov will be accompanied by Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ, and top managers of the company. The guest plans to visit some units of KAMAZ, including the Press and Stamping Plant.
He will meet with employees of the plant who will be able to ask the guest their questions.

An opportunity to talk with Oleg Morozov will also be given to representatives of the trade unions of OJSC KAMAZ.
This is not the first meeting of Oleg Morozov with KAMAZ workers. Last March, he met with employees of the Automobile Plant.
Then Morozov emphasized that, being a deputy from the region, he would continue to defend the interests of the city and KAMAZ both in the State Duma and in the Government of the Russian Federation.

KAMAZ Announces Production Results for January
KAMAZ’s plants and units fulfilled the production plan in January with record performance.
The automobile plant of KAMAZ produced more than 3.9 thousand vehicle sets for 16 working days of January. This is the best start for the last years. The company made half as many products as in early 2011 (+1400 units YOY) and by 700 units more than it had produced in January 2008 (before the crisis).
Read the full text »Absolute and relative results of production units which depend mainly on vehicle production volumes are comparable to heavy-duty truck production results: they are the best for the last years too. The engine plant delivered more than 4 thousand engines and power units (+1200) to the main assembly line of KAMAZ and its customers. Drivers of KAMAZ trucks will receive spare parts to the sum of nearly RUB 0.57 billion.
The main assembly line of the automobile plant maintained the average daily production rate reached in the fourth quarter of 2011 (240 trucks or chassis). It won’t slow down in February when the company plans to produce 4.75 thousand vehicles sets (compare with 2.8 thousand units produced in February 2011).

Leasing Programs for Manufacturers
Experts of KAMAZ-LEASING Group organized the training “Customer financing at special equipment plants” for manufacturers of special equipment – partners of OJSC KAMAZ.
The training was attended by managers and specialists of ZAO Kominvest-AKMT (Moscow), OOO Mega Drive, ZAO MPZ (both from Mytishchi), OAO Zavod Start (Dalmatovo), OOO Energomash (Chebarkul), and OOO TK KOMMASH (Arzamas).

KAMAZ to Produce Two Millionth Vehicle
KAMAZ expects the two millionth vehicle to roll off the production line of the automobile plant.
It should be recalled that the first trucks of today’s world-famous brand came off at that time the only assembly line of the main assembly conveyor of the automobile plant on February 16, 1976, after 6 years and 2 months after the official start of construction KAMAZ. They were immediately sent to Moscow to be presented to delegates of the Congress of the CPSU. After several years of operation in one of the fleets of Bashkortostan, a vehicle of the first model KAMAZ-5320 numbered 0000001 was purchased by its manufacturers, and now it is kept as the functional museum piece at the Scientific and Technical Center of KAMAZ, serving only on the days of its anniversary or on other special occasions.
Read the full text »5,063 vehicles in all were produced for 241 working days in 1976. Working three shifts, the main assembly line produced 21 vehicles a day on the average.
The first millionth KAMAZ was manufactured in 1988, 12 years after the launch of production. Then Russia had a period of economic and political reforms followed by a great decline in production. For example, KAMAZ made only three thousand trucks in 1998...
In 2002 KAMAZ began to recover. KAMAZ became the leader of the technical and technological progress in the Russian truck industry, an initiator, a lobbyist and a pioneer in the introduction of all levels and technical regulations of Euro environmental standards in Russia. Nabererezhnye Chelny received state-of-the-art technologies from the world`s leading automakers – ZF Friedrichshafen, Cummins Inc., Knorr-Bremse SfN GmbH, Federal Mogul Corporation – which established joint ventures with KAMAZ. The company started cooperating with Daimler. The rapid growth of the enterprise enabled to produce the second million of vehicles.
In 2011, KAMAZ produced about 44 thousand trucks for 228 working days. On the average, the main assembly line made 208 vehicles a day. Line 1 worked two shifts and Line 2 worked one shift a day. Since the fourth quarter of 2011, the company has been producing 240 vehicles a day.
According to the Department of Production Management of OJSC KAMAZ, the two millionth KAMAZ will come off the assembly line in mid-February 2012.

CNG KAMAZ Vehicles Save Money
Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the conference “CNG KAMAZ Vehicles” which was initiated by a distributor producing CNG vehicles of OJSC KAMAZ – OOO RariTEK.
The managers and specialists of Chelny’s enterprises and the representatives of OAO Zavod KDM from Smolensk participated in the event.
In the course of the conference the participants noted many positive advantages of vehicles running on gas fuel and discussed issues concerning their operation.
Read the full text »Natural gas is the most affordable and environmentally friendly motor fuel. Its use enables to greatly reduce the amount of toxic substances in exhaust gases – to the level of Euro 4 and 5 environmental standards.
It should be recalled that a year ago the municipality of Naberezhnye Chelny purchased a batch of municipal vehicles equipped with Euro 4 gas engines. These are 8 combined road sweeping tipping vehicles ED-405AG based on KAMAZ-65115-30 chassis running on natural gas. For 8 months of operation of such vehicles, the total economy (due to the difference in fuel costs) made more than 2 million roubles.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Emergency Situations Visits KAMAZ
The representative delegation from Azerbaijan led by Kamaladdin Heydarov, Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Republic, plans to visit KAMAZ on 28 January.
The guests accompanied by Ildar Khalikov, Prime Minister of Tatarstan, and Rafis Khabibullin, Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of Tatarstan, will visit the production facilities of KAMAZ. The delegation will be welcomed by Yevgeniy Pronin, Deputy Director General of OJSC KAMAZ of Sales and Service, and Albert Nurtdinov, Head of the Service of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of KAMAZ.
The guests plan to visit the main assembly line of the automobile plant and the cab assembly line. They also plan to visit Industrial Park Master where they will be shown the production facilities of the companies located on the territory of the park.

New Crankshafts for Cummins Engines
The forge plant of the Metallurgical Unit of OJSC KAMAZ will produce crankshafts for Cummins engines assembled at the joint venture CUMMINS KAMA in Naberezhnye Chelny.
The enterprise successfully completed all stages for the launch of crankshaft forging. Thanks to the efforts of designers and engineers of the forge plant, the new product is light and fine.
It should be recalled that the plant was audited by Cummins Inc. at the end of 2011. The inspection showed that forgings produced by KAMAZ’s forge plant meet all the requirements established for components for Cummins engines. In addition, the preproduction batch of blanks was machined at the engine plant and was approved. As a result, it was decided to produce such details serially. The forge plant plans to deliver 300 crankshafts in February and increase the volume of delivery to 800 units by April.

KAMAZ for Baltic Fleet
The Baltic Fleet received this year’s first batch of KAMAZ vehicles.
90 trucks produced by KAMAZ have recently been ferried from St. Petersburg to Kaliningrad. The up-to-date vehicles will be delivered to different units of the coast troops of the Baltic Fleet.
The trucks will be used to transport crews, ammunition and trailed equipment. The press service of the Western Military District informs that additional training courses for drivers in formations and military units of the Baltic Fleet are coming to an end, and soon recruits will drive the new vehicles.
The new KAMAZ vehicles feature a high cross-country capability, enhanced ergonomics and meet all requirements.

Tatarstan’s Prime Minister Visits KAMAZ
Yesterday, Ildar Khalikov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited the joint Russian-Italian enterprise CNH-KAMAZ Industrial located in Naberezhnye Chelny.
The high guest was welcomed by Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ and top managers of the company. Ildar Khalikov visited facilities of CNH-KAMAZ producing agricultural equipment branded New Holland, and also the main assembly conveyor of KAMAZ’s Automobile Plant.
Tatarstan’s prime minister noted that the officials of the Republic of Tatarstan were satisfied with the operation of KAMAZ, and thanked the employees of KAMAZ for excellent results they had achieved in 2011.

KAMAZ Opens Dealership in Pokrov
Today, on January 26, a new dealer center of OJSC KAMAZ will open its doors in Pokrov situated near Moscow. The solemn opening ceremony will be attended by Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ, and Yuriy Taraskin, CEO of one of the largest dealers of KAMAZ – the SIM-avto company.
The dealership located on the first line of the 14th km of Simferopol Highway before a turn to Podolsk will specialize in selling KAMAZ trucks and their maintenance. Its total area will be 30 thousand square meters, including a parking lot with an area of 10 thousand square meters, a service zone and a warehouse of spare parts.
Read the full text »The dealership will offer its customers 12 parking stalls, one long and two short holes, 8 posts of lifts, wheel alignment and brake balance equipment, mobile column lifts, a beam crane with a capacity of 8 tons and an option of installation of suspended equipment. And this is not the complete list of what will be used for vehicle maintenance. There are the following shops in facilities with a total area of more than 22 thousand square meters: aggregate, mechanical, engine overhaul, fuel equipment repair shops (including fuel equipment stands). The company ordered OOO RBA-Servis new diagnostic equipment and special tools designed by Ravaglioli Company to do all kinds of repair.
OOO Kompaniya SIM-avto is a member of RusBusinessAuto Group of Companies. It has been cooperating with OJSC KAMAZ since 2000. To date, it is an authorized dealer selling KAMAZ vehicles in Moscow and Moscow, Novosibirsk, Penza, and Rostov Oblasts.
An increase in business activity in 2011 became one of the reasons for opening a new dealership. For only a year, OOO Kompaniya SIM-avto purchased more than 3 thousand KAMAZ trucks. The company has got certified service centers of OJSC KAMAZ: OOO TruckService, Moscow; OOO RBA-Novosibirsk, Novosibirsk; OOO RBA-Rostov, Rostov-on-Don; ZAO Ost-Avto, Chelyabinsk.
