After that the delegation visited FUSO KAMAZ Trucks Rus to complete certification of the enterprise for mass production of Mitsubishi Canter vehicles.

During the last month FUSO KAMAZ Trucks Rus has been working on production development in the routine of trial assembly under the guidance of Japanese experts. The results of the work done were summed up in the course of the working conference which was held within the bounds of the visit. In the name of the management of MFTBC, Masashi Kogame confirmed high quality and approved of launching mass production of Mitsubishi Fuso Canter vehicles.

FUSO KAMAZ Trucks Rus was established in November 2009 by Daimler Trucks, the primary shareholder of MFTBC, and OJSC KAMAZ. Daimler and KAMAZ each own 50 % of FUSO KAMAZ Trucks Rus Joint Venture for production of light-duty trucks. The joint venture functions on the basis of production capacities of KIP Master (Naberezhnye Chelny). The production capacities of the JV (9.5 thousand square meters) are used for assembly, quality control and logistics. At the initial stage vehicles are being assembled from semi-knocked-down (SKD) kits shipped from Japan. However, the enterprise has already started looking for the Russian suppliers.

Mitsubishi Fuso is entering the market with its Canter low-tonnage truck of 7.5 tonnes. The Canter model is noted for its reliability, fuel efficiency and durability. Its main differences from its analogues are the following: it has a space and comfortable cab, a new security system of a driver’s cab (RISE), a reinforced chassis construction, and a panel mount shifter arm. It makes the vehicle reliable and comfortable.

The Canter model for the Russian market will be equipped with a 4.9-litre engine with 110kW of power and 471nm of torque, and a new 6-step gearbox. The engine optimally combines high performance with efficiency and meets the Euro-3 emission standards.

Customers will be offered four versions of trucks with diverse wheelbases – 3410mm, 3870mm, 4170mm, and 4470mm. It will enable to satisfy each buyer’s individual needs. The vehicle is meant for transportation of cargoes with a total mass of up to 4500kg which secures high performance of the vehicle.

KAMAZ Helps Explorers of Subsoils

The largest Russian producer of all-terrain vehicles and chassis for special equipment KAMAZ will participate in the 13th International Exhibition Neftegaz 2010 which will be held from 21 to 25 June in Moscow.

During the last years KAMAZ has been paying particular attention to customers’ requirements to its production. OJSC KAMAZ upgraded its vehicle line and used for it modernized auto components made with the help of the global leaders manufacturing assemblies and aggregates for trucks, which enabled the company to present its most up-to-date equipment designed for gas-and-oil producing enterprises at the exhibition.

ANC 32/50 on KAMAZ-43118 chassis, an aggregate for well acidizing, meets the Russian production conditions. KAMAZ-43118 serves as the basis for about fifty models of special equipment intended for oil-and-gas production. AROK on KAMAZ-43114 chassis, an aggregate meant for repair and maintenance of conventional pumping units in oil-and-gas production, indubitably deserves customers’ interest. The KAMAZ-43114 vehicle with its superstructure is also successfully used for transportation of diverse kinds of equipment with a mass of up to 2 tonnes and for transportation of up to 6 people in a box body. AKNS-12 on KAMAZ-63501 chassis, an aggregate for gas condensate collection, will also seem interesting to specialists.

AP100S-T400-1R, a brand gas piston stationary electrical unit, will undoubtedly attract oil and gas producers’ attention. The electrical unit is intended for the use as an independent supply source to provide various customers with three-phase power supply (400V, 50Hz) in different climatic zones, with a temperature range from +8 to +50°C.
