Denis Matsuev's Concert Opens Musical Spring at KAMAZ

Supported by KAMAZ PTC and personally Sergey Kogogin, General Director of the Company, the Classics and Jazz concert titled was given by pianist-virtuoso Denis Matsuev in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Before his performance, famous pianist, People's Artist of Russia Denis Matsuev visited the main assembly line of the auto giant and the headquarters of the KAMAZ-master racing team and drove the truck which had won the Dakar-2017 Rally.

The musical evening was opened by State Duma Deputy Alfiya Kogogina. Inviting the world star onto the stage, she noted that Denis Matsuev's performance was a significant event for Naberezhnye Chelny which would be highly appreciated by lovers of good music. That evening, traditional jazz and jazz improvisations on classical themes sounded on the stage of the city's Organ Hall. Within the framework of the program Denis Matsuev and Friends, a children's jazz trio performed together with the famous musician and his band. Participants of the trio Sofya Tyurina, Ekaterina Filimonova and Rostislav Mudrytsky are holders of the Grand Prix of the 2016 All-Russian Blue Bird Competition.

"This concert is a spring gift not only to the employees of the auto giant, but to all the citizens," said Sergey Kogogin. "This year we decided to place some tickets on general sale, so that not only KAMAZ employees, but also everybody interested could enjoy the concert." At the end of the program, General Director of KAMAZ PTC, thanked the maestro for the magnificent performance of world-known musical compositions and noted that real music should be what it had sounded that day in the hall: unrestrained, exciting, with a share of expression and improvisation.

Invitations to Denis Matsuev's concert became a good gift for pupils of the city's musical schools and children's technopark Quantorium. The event was attended by 88 children. Another 258 tickets were presented to KAMAZ's female workers on the occasion of the International Women's Day. The remaining tickets for the performance of the world star went to the ticket offices of the Organ H all to be instantly sold. All proceeds from the concert will be directed to Igor Lerman's Province Chamber Orchestra Foundation.

The musical spring in Naberezhnye Chelny will continue with a concert of the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra from St. Petersburg under Valery Gergiev which will be held in mid-April with the support of KAMAZ PTC.
