International Women's Day Was Celebrated at KAMAZ

Solemn events dedicated to the International Women's Day were held at KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation).

Today, more than 22,000 women work in KAMAZ subdivisions, including subsidiaries. Solemn events in honor of the female workers of KAMAZ production were held at all the plants of the company, and the festive event was crowned by a concert in the city's Organ Hall.

This evening the women were congratulated by Yuri Gerasimov, First Deputy General Director of KAMAZ PTC - Executive Director, and Aleksandr Vasilyev, Chairman of the Company's Trade Union Committee. "It is symbolic that this holiday comes to our house with the first snowdrops and spring drippings," Yury Ivanovich noted. "Both the woman and the spring are the birth of a new life, the embodiment of care, the personification of warmth and comfort." He thanked the women of the team for their contribution to the production of KAMAZ trucks which currently occupy the top lines of Russian ratings, conquering the market in difficult economic conditions.

The solemn part of the evening continued with the awarding of the best female workers. Honorary diplomas of KAMAZ PTC, as well as letters of thanks from the executive committee of Naberezhnye Chelny, high professional achievements of twenty KAMAZ workers were noted. In total, on the occasion of International Women's Day, 210 female employees of the enterprise were given various KAMAZ awards.

As part of the festive program, the musical and literary production "Spring" was presented on the stage of the Organ Hall. In addition, a concert from Moscow's quarter Perfomen became a good gift for the guests of the festive event.
