KAMAZ is participating in the ninth Army 2023 International Military Technical Forum. It started on August 14 at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center in Kubinka (Moscow Region). During the forum, the company presented relevant samples of equipment for the industry.
About 1.5 thousand Russian and foreign companies are participating in the Army-2023 forum and presenting their modern and advanced models of weapons, military and special equipment. Visitors of the exhibition will be able to see more than 28 thousand exhibits, as well as be acquainted with the achievements of the IT industry, developments in the field of artificial intelligence technologies, unmanned systems, and other novelties. There is also an extensive business program, which includes scientific and business meetings, expert panels on topical issues of the world agenda, congresses, round tables, etc.
The event is attended by KAMAZ's General Director Sergey Kogogin, Deputy General Director for Sales and Service of KAMAZ PTC Rustam Shamsutdinov, Deputy General Director of KAMAZ PTC for Special Programs Alexander Shevchenko, Deputy General Director of KAMAZ PTC – Financial Director Andrey Maksimov, and other top managers of the company.
The KAMAZ exposition displayed at the exhibition site of the Army-2023 forum presents prototypes of special-purpose vehicles called-for in the military sphere. For example, the protected ambulance of the tactical level, the ZSA–T medical transporter demonstrated at the exhibition proved to be effective in the special military operation. The vehicle is meant to search, collect and carry the wounded from the battlefield and the centers of mass sanitary losses with first aid at the place of injury and during transportation. In addition, such armored vehicles protect medical workers and sufferers from possible risks caused by enemy actions. The basic chassis has high mobility and cross-country characteristics, has a soft ride, which is important for medical transport.
In addition, a new family of armored vehicles is presented at the company's stand. It includes an armored multi-purpose vehicle with a high-capacity cab and a high-sided platform KAMAZ-4385PV (4x4). Among its advantages are ballistic protection of the personnel and mine protection, bullet-proof wheels that enable to drive with damaged wheels up to 50 km. It is also possible to install slat armour screens. Another exhibit has the same advantages. This is an armored multi-purpose vehicle for transportation of dangerous goods KAMAZ-5385P3 (6x6). At the same time, it provides for both the protection of transported goods (missiles, ammunition) and the main components and assemblies.
The transportation of bulky cargo and specialized equipment that do not require special temperature conditions of storage and transportation is an easy task for a low-frame semi-trailer heavy truck. This type of semi-trailers is especially convenient for transporting long, indivisible goods that cannot be transported in separate parts. It is intended for operation with a three-axle tractor truck with a height of the fifth wheel of 1,200-1,300 mm and a permissible load on the fifth wheel not more than 25,000 kg. The total length of the platform is 11,990 mm, the design allows the weight of the transported cargo to be 70 tonnes.
The company's exposition presents modernized AWD vehicles from the Mustang-M family. Among them is the KAMAZ–5350 (6x6), equipped with an armored cab with improved performance and an engine of increased power (320 HP). It has armor protection of fuel tanks, radiator, engine and battery box. The load capacity of the vehicle is 6 tonnes. Another representative of the Mustang-M family which is on display at the exhibition and is widely used by the Russian army to solve various tasks is the KAMAZ–6350 (8x8). Like the KAMAZ-5350, the KAMAZ-6350 truck has an improved armored cab, a powerful engine (400 HP), while its load capacity is 10 tonnes. For the KAMAZ-5350, KAMAZ-53501, KAMAZ-6350 and KAMAZ-63501 models already in operation, the manufacturer offers a set of additional protection for the cabin – it is also presented at the company's stand. The kit provides for the installation of protection of side windows, windshield and radiator.
