KAMAZ AT THE RUSSIA-UZBEKISTAN INTERREGIONAL COOPERATION FORUM

6 October 2023

General Director of KAMAZ PTC Sergey Kogogin and other executives took part in the business program of the 3-rd Russia-Uzbekistan Interregional Cooperation Forum held in Kazan.

The event was timed to an exhibition of products made in the two countries. The exhibition titled Russia and Uzbekistan: New Opportunities for Development was visited by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The exposition was dominated by engineering products, including KAMAZ vehicles. In particular, Russia’s top truck producer presented the K5 generation truck tractors – KAMAZ-54901, KAMAZ-65955, and KAMAZ-65659. The KAMAZ-6282 electric bus and other vehicles were also presented there.

Given new realities, KAMAZ-54901 vehicles and other truck tractors of the latest line presented by the company at the forum are currently manufactured using new components. The company has implemented a large-scale program, and the production of this version of K5 trucks no longer depends on components supplied from unfriendly countries. In addition, the consumer characteristics of the vehicle have been improved. The trucks are distinguished by high consumer properties, including a long service interval (up to 120 thousand km), low fuel consumption, and increased cabin comfort.

The updated model indexed 54901 has improved running smoothness, reduced fuel consumption, and increased cabin noise insulation. At the same time, the key advantages remained unchanged. They include a cabin with a flat floor 2,500 mm wide and 1,980 mm high, which allows the driver of a long-haul tractor to move at full height and provides special comfort, as well as a highly efficient, low-consumption KAMAZ engine with power increased to 460 hp and automatic transmission.

The KAMAZ-65955 three-axle truck tractor is a representative of the heavy family of the K5 generation. It is equipped with a comfortable cabin on a four-point suspension with one berth, while its bottom is reinforced with metal protection, which allows you to run on dirt and rocky roads without failure. In general, such vehicles are often used for transporting hazardous and construction cargo, in conjunction with tipper semi-trailers, tanks, etc. The truck is highly maneuverable thanks to AWD: 6x6 wheel arrangement, all three axles are driven. The vehicle is equipped with an in-line turbocharged diesel engine KAMAZ 910.12-450 (Euro 5). Fuel tank capacity is 600 l.

As noted by specialists of KAMAZ Research and Development Center, when designing the K5 line of vehicles, special attention was paid to increasing vehicle reliability, driver comfort, and reducing fuel consumption. As a result, they managed to build a vehicle brand new in its technical characteristics and consumer properties.

The models of trucks and passenger vehicles presented at the exhibition are in great demand in Russian regions. For example, the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus is widely represented in Moscow. In five years, KAMAZ has already delivered over 1 thousand units of equipment to the customer. Taking into account the advantages of this innovative environmentally friendly vehicle, which were appreciated by the residents and government of the capital, other Russian cities are now showing interest in it too. Developing long-term cooperation with Uzbekistan, the company is ready to offer its partner the best products to meet the needs of various sectors of the country’s economy.

Today, Russia continues to strengthen cooperation with friendly states concluding new international contracts, implementing promising projects, welcoming delegations, and organizing regular exhibitions and presentations. The forum is another step towards strengthening constructive interaction between Russia and Uzbekistan and a new opportunity for combining the countries’ potential and developing mutually beneficial relations. The event was attended by more than 700 business representatives of the two countries, representatives of 19 regions of Russia and 14 regions of Uzbekistan.
