19 June 2017

The representatives of KAMAZ (part of Rostec State Corporation) took part in the All-Russian Research and Practical Conference on Anti-Corruption Standards.

The event was held in Kazan, the program included a plenary meeting and a research and practical discussion. Such a format of the conference enabled to consider the majority of issues related with formation of anti-corruption standards in Russia, and also their practical implementation in bodies of state power, local administrations, state-owned corporations and other organizations. KAMAZ PTC was represented by KAMAZ Deputy Director General for Safety Ildar Shamilov and Head of Compliance Service Victor Spasov.

It should be noted that the auto giant's experience in development and implementation of anti-corruption measures aroused a great interest. "A striving for transparency is supported by the Russian Government, but while state and municipal institutions are using certain standards and regulations, anti-corruption measures for businesses are still under development," noted Spasov. "KAMAZ can't wait. With the assistance of the company's strategic partner Daimler AG, a system was developed in order to eliminate corruption risks at the stage of conctract signing. If a contractor fails to pass due diligence, a contract to be concluded with him cannot be introduced to the 1C system.

To add to this, the company's employees cooperate with auditing bodies. Last year, about one hundred messages were received via the hot line, including more than 60 reports on compliance violations, 39% of which were confirmed. The economic effect from the introduction of the compliance system at KAMAZ enterprises made up 9.4 billion roubles from 2012 to 2015. The efficience of the system was also proved by Ernst&Young audit.
