The KAMAZ team of authors was awarded the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation for the development and organization of production of a line of diesel in-line six-cylinder engines with high environmental and specific indicators for cross-industry applications.
The solemn ceremony for presenting the 2023 Russian Government Prizes in the field of science and technology took place at the Government House of the Russian Federation on December 15. Head of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin presented the award to Irek Gumerov, Deputy General Director of KAMAZ PTC – Development Director.
“The engine that we present – there are only a few engines of this class in the world – is one that has achieved an efficiency of 50%. This is top globally,” noted Irek Gumerov. He emphasized that only four companies in the world can make such engines.
“I want to assure you that we will continue to do everything necessary to support domestic science so that the most effective solutions, techniques, methods are in demand, in order to support scientific schools, scientific institutes, engineering schools,” noted Mikhail Mishustin in his concluding remarks addressing the awardees.
