The Press and Stamping Plant of KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation) started using a new laser station started.
The new machine was purchased at the beginning of 2017 within the program of production of vehicles of the advanced line-up. This is the development of one of Russian companies whose products the PSP has been using for many years.
The machine reached its projected output for two months, and now a ray cuts all necessary units out of metal sheets, which took a load from the equipment operating in the shop. A laser knife cuts about 33 kilometers of metal at the maximum speed daily.
This machine is used for cutting metal up to four millimeters thick, as aggregates of such a type are used just in this area. Besides, the Atlas Copco compressor plant was purchased to supply machines with air of the necesssry quality and pressure.
Now the PSP is waiting for a new laser machine which enables to perform tasks of another level in a mobile mode. And the first laser machines designed for quick and high-precision metal cutting at the press and stamping plant as far back as nine years ago. The existing installations help to quckly master the production of any components: many details for cabins of the advanced model range are made with their help today.
